New Liaison Manager for Boomer Bloodstock

Media Release - Tuesday February 9

Boomer Bloodstock (FBAA) owner Craig Rounsefell announced the appointment of Lynn Hancock as the company's Bloodstock Liaison Manager during the record-breaking Inglis Classic Sale.

Born and raised in Kentucky, Lynn's deep love of all things thoroughbred is ingrained in her pedigree and dates back five generations. She has been fortunate enough to learn about all aspects of the horse industry from her father Arthur B Hancock III, founder of Stone Farm.

And in further news for Boomer Bloodstock, Inglis has appointed Rounsefell as the company's representative in North America.

Boomer Bloodstock bought five lots at the Classic Sale and topping the shopping list was the Nicconi colt from Eureka Stud. He cost $82,500 and is related to Queensland stakes winners Just Now and Telltina – daughters of the McAlpine family's champion sire Semipalatinsk.

Rounsefell joined several other members of Federation of Bloodstock Agents Australia (FBAA) in spending over $1.30 million on behalf of clients at the Classic Sale.

Laurel Oak Bloodstock's Louis Mihalyka bought the Snitzel half-brother to 2015 Inglis 2YO Classic winner Lady Jivago that topped Day 1 at $170,000.

"I really liked the currentness of the mare," he said. "More than that, the horse is a real athlete and he looks like a runner."

Mihalyka also bought a Casino Prince colt for $48,000 and a Congrats filly for $37,000.

Blue Sky Bloodstock's Julian Blaxland took a shine to the Husson filly from Group 3 Flemington winner Leveller (Redoute's Choice). She was offered by Vinery Stud and was knocked down for $100,000.

Blaxland also had the final say on a filly by I Am Invincible from Grand Bird from Yarraman Park. She sold for $80,000 late in the last session on Monday.

Federation of Bloodstock Agents Australia (FBAA) was formed in 1998 to maintain, improve and develop the standards, status and services of bloodstock agents throughout Australia.

Its members operate with the utmost integrity and professionalism and are bound by the strict Industry Code of Conduct.
