Vinery
Stud purchased half a dozen yearlings at Inglis Easter last year and the first
of them to come out and win a race is Tale of Choice, who scored at Warwick Farm
on Wednesday.
The Gerald Ryan trained filly finished midfield when making her debut at
Rosehill back in December, but with a short break to regroup and the addition
of blinkers, she returned a much better filly for the 1000 metre juvenile
maiden.
She was always in contention for Tommy Berry from a good gate and kicked clear to
win in good style.
Gerald Ryan credited the blinkers for switching on the daughter of champion Redoute's
Choice, saying her work in them had improved out of sight.
"She's a lovely, laid back, quiet filly that eats everything you give her and hasn't
a worry in the world," he added.
"She's improving and growing and has a bit of scope to her."
A full sister to Group II placed Raphael's Cat, she was bought by Vinery Stud
for $400,000 at the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale and is the second
winner for US Group II winner Cat by the Tale (USA).
