A
two for one deal on Triple Crown and Breeders Cup winner American Pharoah, who
stands at Coolmore's US base of Ashford Stud at a fee of $US200,000, has set
the cat among the pigeons in Kentucky.
Breeders have been offered the option of sending a second mare for free, albeit
she has to be of a high standard with Group stakes credentials.
The move is likely to impact on other elite stallions standing in the $100,000 plus
price range including his sire Pioneerof the Nile, who stands at a fee of
$125,000.
