Highlights include:
Lot 280 Little Bit Ditsy (2010, by Bel Esprit) – A 2yo winning, stakes placed daughter of influential sire Bel Esprit, best known as the sire of Black Caviar, but also the broodmare sire of champion NZ filly Costa Viva.
Little Bit Ditsy is out of eight time winning Miss Doopsy, a full sister to Beat the Bullet, the dam of VRC Oaks winner Hollow Bullett. Her half-sister Oopsy Doopsy recently produced the smart Not a Single Doubt stakes winner Let it Slip. This is a quality mare that has let down very nicely and she is in foal first season to Deep Field, whose stock will no doubt be highly sought after.
Lot 281 Ma Famille (USA) (2007, Maria's Mon) – Unraced half-sister to Group III winner Dundonnell from the family of legendary sire Danehill and is in foal to Caulfield Guineas winner Shooting to Win.
Ma Famille has a quality 2yo filly by Sebring to race and a very nice, athletic weanling colt by Sebring to be sold at the MM weanling sales who we rate as one of our best weanlings. Ma Famille presents breeders a great opportunity to buy into one of the best international families with the upside of having quality stock to run for her.
Lot 283 Oscar Queen (2009, by Dubawi (IRE) - Placed daughter of one of the greatest sires in the world today in Dubawi and is a half-sister to Group II placed Forfeiture from the Joy and Fun branch of the Denise's Joy family.
Offered in foal to Australian Guineas winner Wandjina in her first season at stud, Oscar Queen is a lovely type and has plenty of strength, size and quality. She has let down beautifully and we can see her producing some lovely foals over the coming years. Wandjina suits her nicely and as a package she has plenty of commercial appeal.
Lot 285 Raid (2005, by Pins) – Stakes-winning sister to the dam of Group I winner Stratum Star from the family of champion mare Emancipation and Group I winners Railings, Virage de Fortune, etc.
Bell View Park sold her Redoute's Choice yearling colt at Inglis Easter this year for $370,000 to Shadwell Australia and she is in foal to Shooting to Win on a September 1 service. She also has a significant pedigree update as her first foal Tarismo was placed in a stakes event in Macau last weekend earning valuable Black Type.
Lot 287 Rosa Stellata (NZ) (2008, by Zabeel) – Unraced daughter of champion broodmare sire Zabeel from Group I STC Coolmore Classic winner Camino Rose.
She is a nice, big strapping Zabeel mare. Her first foal a filly by Snitzel made $250,000 at Inglis Easter and is now a 2yo named Lubiton that has won her only two trials for Bjorn Baker and looks promising. She also has a nice, strong Foxwedge filly heading to the MM weanling sales and is in foal to Smart Missile.
Lot 299 Encenito (2011, by Canny Lad) – Unraced daughter of outstanding broodmare sire Canny Lad from highly regarded international family of Scenic and Rainbow Quest. Offered in foal to Zoustar in her first season at stud.
She is a very nice style of a mare and has let down very well. Group II winning mare Testosteron, who is out of her stakes placed half-sister Epopee made 1.2 million guineas off the track at the Tattersall's mare sale which demonstrates the high commercial worth for this family. Interestingly Testosterone's full sister Neko recently won her first start at Chantilly by 9 lengths in outstanding fashion. She holds nominations to upcoming Group I Prix Saint Alary and Prix de Diane in France. Also, with recent Hong Kong winners Southchina Command and Australian metropolitan winner Living Large, this family should go from strength to strength.
Lot 300 Fairchild (2006, by General Nediym) – Juvenile winning daughter of MM 2YO Classic winner Dancer's Joy from the family of Group II winner La Passe and HK stakes-winner Sichuan Success.
Her first two foals to race are smart winner Sir Magic and promising metro placed filly Suspenders and her Choisir yearling colt at Inglis Easter made $560,000 to the bid of James Harron Bloodstock. Fairchild throws a sensational type and her first four yearlings to sell at auction have averaged an impressive $332,500. She is offered in foal to Shooting to Win.
