Dane Shadow's extraordinary run of form continued at the weekend when the hugely progressive filly Danish Twist completed a quick-fire hat-trick of wins with a dominant victory in the Group III Godolphin Dark Jewel Classic over 1400m at the Scone Festival.

Morphetville.A 14-year-old son of Danehill (USA), Dane Shadow has supplied nine winners already this month and seven crops of racing age have yielded 273 winners, meaning nearly two-thirds of his runners have won.
It's an impressive statistic putting him in the ballpark with the likes of leading sires Choisir, Exceed And Excel, Fastnet Rock, Not A Single Doubt and Snitzel, who all command significantly higher fees.
Dane Shadow will stand the 2016 season at $6,600, a fee that represents super value considering the year he is having and his proven track record.
This season alone, Dane Shadow's runners have amassed prize-money of more than $3 million.
Out of the winning Perugino(USA) mare Madame Flurry, who is also responsible for triple Group I scorer Happy Trails, Danish Twist has been his flagbearer with earnings soaring to $668,560 this year.
Danish Twist became Dane Shadow's eighth stakes winner, with four of those black-type scorers striking at the highest level – Hurtle Myrtle, Red Tracer, Shellscrape and Shadows In The Sun all capturing Group I victories.
Danish Twist will be given the opportunity emulate their success with the Group I Tatts Tiara in June on her agenda according to trainer Kris Lees.
