Mike
and Debbie O'Donnell of Fairhill Farm were in the winner's circle at Canterbury
on Wednesday with flashy chestnut filly Yuma Desert, who posted another all the
way win.
Consistent last preparation without winning, the Peter and Paul Snowden trained
daughter of Not a Single Doubt has been a stronger filly this time around.
She bolted in when resuming from a spell at Canterbury earlier this month and
then upped the ante when taking on Benchmark 72 company to lead all the way and
win by a head.
Yuma Desert was bought back at the Magic Millions National Yearling Sale for
$36,000 and has won two races and placed four times from seven starts earning
over $80,000 in prizemoney.
She is a full sister to stakes-placed Desert Fox and smart HK winner Diaomnd
Master being from good producer Sandy Desert (USA).
Fairhill Farm sold a full sister to Yuma Desert at the 2016 Magic Millions for
$100,000 to Australian Thoroughbred Bloodstock.
