The China Horse Club has purchased one of this seasons leading fillies in New Zealand and will campaign her there next season.
The Club has purchased dual Group winner Mime, who will remain with trainers Murray Baker and Andrew Forsman for her four-year-old career.
Cambridge-based Michael Wallace, the club's racing and bloodstock manager, told NZ Racing Desk Mime will be the first runner for the Club in New Zealand.
""She will be the first runner here for us. She will go down to Hastings for the spring series with more of a focus on the second and third legs," Wallace said.
"We've had a few horses educated here and then exported to Singapore and we've got the Power-Octapussy filly bought at Karaka with Tony Pike so we are increasing our involvement."
A daughter of Mastercraftsman, Mime has won four of her 11 starts, including the Group II Sir Tristram Fillies' Classic and the Group III Sunline Vase and was spelled after finishing fourth in the Group I New Zealand Oaks.
She was raced by Hastings owner-breeder Laurence Redshaw, who sadly passed away last Friday.
"He was a long-time client and had horses with me for about 25 years," Baker said. "His best was Group One winner Lady Kipling and he had Kibbutz, who ran third at his only start and was sold and he won a VRC Derby for David Hayes."
