Eight Winners for Love Conquers All

Tara Madgwick - Sunday July 10
Sun Stud's Love Conquers All added an impressive eighth winner to his tally when Savanna Amour bolted in at the Sunshine Coast on Sunday.

Savanna Amour as a yearlingThird and fourth at her first two runs last month when inexperience cost her dearly, the J and C Meagher trained filly put her best foot forward in the 1200 metre maiden.

She travelled up on the pace just behind the leaders and powered clear to win by four and a quarter lengths.

Savanna Amour was a $100,000 Inglis Classic purchase from the Toolooganvale Farm draft for Ontrack Thoroughbreds, who sourced Group I winner Brazen Beau from the same sale.

She is the third winner for Savanna La Mar, a half-sister by Stravinsky (USA) to Group III winner Voodoo Beat from the family of Golden Slipper winner and sire Marauding.

With eight Australian winners on the board, Love Conquers All shares top billing on the First Season Sires List by winners with another Queensland based sire in Sidereus.

Few so called experts would have predicted this outcome at the start of the season! (me included!)

A Group II winning son of Mossman, Love Conquers All stands at Sun Stud Queensland at a fee of $13,750.
