A $55,000 Magic Millions National Weanling Sale purchase for Byefarm Breeders from the Coolmore draft, Purely Atomic is the 111th stakes-winner for champion sire Encosta de Lago.
She is the best of five winners from unraced Danehill mare Catching Moonbeams (IRE), a daughter of Group I winning sprinter Imperial Beauty.
Coolmore sold the current weanling from Catching Moonbeams, a filly by Camelot (IRE), for $55,000 at the Inglis Australian Weanling Sale and also the mare herself for $54,000 to Aquis Farm.
The purchase looks a great result for Aquis Farm with Catching Moonbeams due to foal to So You Think and pencilled in for a date with Vinery Stud's champion sire More Than Ready (USA) this spring.
