Bonus Scheme to Boost Office Bearer

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday July 26
The late Phillip Esplin and his family have produced some outstanding racehorses over the years including successful sires such as Reset, Charge Forward and Fast 'n' Famous, with their stakes-winning homebred sprinter Office Bearer being given the opportunity to emulate their success at Murrulla Stud.

A brilliant stakes-winning sprinter for the Peter Moody stable, Office Bearer was a natural runner winning his first three starts and proved his class with a stylish Listed victory at Sandown over 1200 metres and a further five Listed placings as well as a fourth in the Group II BRC QTC Cup.

Office BearerOffice Bearer (image Steve Hart) retires with five wins up to 1300 metres and prizemoney just shy of $300,000, his fascinating international pedigree coupled with obvious good looks persuading connections to give him his chance at stud.

"Office Bearer had tremendous speed and is an outstanding physical specimen," said Peter Moody.

"Speed outcross stallions are hard to come by."

Conceived in North America and foaled in Australia, Office Bearer is one of 34 stakes-winners worldwide for Group I Belmont Champagne Stakes winner Officer.

Representing the Relaunch sireline, Officer is the sire of 16.3 % stakes horses to runners.

His dam Street'em Sheila is by Australia's Champion Sire elect Street Cry (IRE) from Australian bred Last Tycoon (IRE) mare Super Sheila, who claimed Group I success in South Africa as a brilliant sprinter. He is the only stallion at stud in Australia from a daughter of Street Cry.

Tim and Celie Nolan at Murrulla Stud will stand Office Bearer, who has been BOBS nominated with his fee set at $2,200 inc GST with a live foal guarantee (payable 30th April 2017).

"The Esplin family have a great record for producing sires and are going to support Office Bearer with their own mares," said Tim Nolan.

"Prizemoney in country NSW has never been so lucrative and a young affordably priced stallion such as Office Bearer gives all owner breeders a chance at success."

Bonus Scheme (Payable to the breeder on service agreement)

With a view to attracting mares in his first season at stud the Esplin Family have offered up an appealing bonus scheme which will be won by three lucky breeders.

This bonus scheme should appeal to country owner/breeders and trainers in NSW, who also breed mares each year.

At the conclusion of their 3YO racing season the breeder of the horse with the most total prizemoney including bonus scheme prizemoney by Office Bearer from his first southern hemisphere crop will be eligible for the$100,000 bonus - 60k to winner 25k to 2nd horse prizemoney tally and 15k to 3rd horse prizemoney tally.

Office Bearer is at Murrulla and is available for inspection.
