First Foals for Proisir

Media Release - Monday August 15
The first two foals sired by the brilliant Australian Group One performer Proisir have been born at Rich Hill Stud.

ProisirA son of the champion international racehorse and sire Choisir, he was New Zealand's most popular first season sire last year serving 145 mares and his first crop foals are now eagerly anticipated by breeders.

"Proisir is one of the best looking stallions in Australasia and if his first two foals are any indication then we are in for a very exciting season," Rich Hill principal John Thompson said.

"They are both well balanced, athletic individuals with plenty of quality."

Proisir was regarded as one of Australia's best three-year-olds in a vintage year which included the likes of All Too Hard, Pierro, It's A Dundeel, Shamexpress, Norzita and Sacred Falls.

His epic battles with It's A Dundeel in the Gr.1 Spring Champion Stakes and in the Gr.1 Randwick Guineas are well remembered by Australasian racegoers.

See his beautiful babes below.
