Foxwedge
has been the young sire on fire since the start of spring and this five length
winner at Kilmore on Monday looms as another three year-old with stakes
potential.
Prepared by Robbie Griffiths, exciting colt Terindah resumed from a spell in
the 1100 metre maiden as a short priced favourite having finished an unlucky fourth
in the Listed MRC Debutant Stakes last spring at his only previous start.
He began fast for Jye McNeil from gate one, but then settled just behind the
leaders before accelerating smartly down the running to win as he pleased.
Stakes goals are in the pipeline with TErindah entered for the Group III MRC
Blue Sapphire Stakes on October 12.
A $180,000 Inglis Premier purchase from the Eliza Park International draft for
Griffiths Racing / BBA Ireland, Terindah is the third winner for Group II
winning Rory's Jester mare Toast of the Coast.
Foxwedge has seized an early lead on the Australian Second Season Sires list by
earnings with a flurry of spring winners including Group II winner Foxplay and
stakes-winner Kentucky Miss.
He stands at Newgate Farm at a fee of $22,000.
