Prince of Penzance Book Launched

Media Release - Friday October 28
"Prince Of Penzance - The Extraordinary 2015 Melbourne Cup" was launched in fun style by Melbourne Books and writer Kristen Manning at The Emerald Hotel on Tuesday night.

Attended by a large crowd of thoroughbred racing fans, the launch was expertly hosted by the Emerald, Melbourne's racing pub that was also chosen by Prince Of Penzance's connections for their Melbourne Cup night party last year.

Speeches by Kristen Manning, Melbourne Books' David Tenenbaum and Prince Of Penzance's part owner Ken Laws were warmly received as was a stunning cake crafted by the Birthday Cake Shop.

"It was a wonderful night and it was amazing to be supported by so many," Kristen Manning said.

A wide variety of racing people were in attendance including most of Prince Of Penzance's enthusiastic owners and their friends, members of the media (both mainstream and social!) and those involved with the making of the upcoming Michelle Payne movie.

"It's a great time of year for a racing get-together," Manning said, "and there was a feeling of celebration of Prince Of Penzance's deeds as well as excitement leading into another Melbourne Cup."
