A winning career debut over 1100 metres at Rosehill on Saturday for the Gerald Ryan-trained Chauffeur who will head to the Gold Coast in a bid to emulate his dam, the 2006 Magic Millions 2yo Classic heroine Mirror Mirror, while at the same time gaining some revenge for his three-quarter sister No Looking Back, who lost the valuable Gold Coast feature on protest in 2012.
A $1,600,000 sales-topping Gold Coast Magic Millions Yearling purchase, the son of Snitzel looked to be making heavy weather of it on the fence as the leader All Too Huiying was hanging tough.

"I had no doubts about his ability. I reckon he is right up there with the better one, but he is not a jump and run
"The only thing about going to the Magic Millions, I reckon he is a horse who going to sit back and get home, go through his gears.

Ryan trains the son of Snitzel for a syndicate that includes the colt's breeder John Singleton, Damion Flower, Neil Werrett and Nick Vass.
"There's a lot of satisfaction because when we bought him at the sales I thought he was as good a colt as I'd seen anywhere," Ryan said.
"We thought he'd make $1.2 million so I asked Damion: 'when do you want me to stop bidding?' And he said: 'You don't.'
"To pay that sort of money for the unknown is huge and the owners put no pressure on me to run him today."
Injury restricted Mirror Mirror's career on the track to four starts and her stud career has also largely been a tale of woe.
Her first foal, No Looking Back (Redoute's Choice), lost the Magic Millions 2yo Classic on protest to stablemate Driefontein and was runner-up in the Group I Blue Diamond.before later winning the Listed Carrington Stakes.
Mirror Mirror's second foal Gorgeous Debut (Exceed And Excel) is a 3-time winner in Hong Kong.
