Progressive
Street Cry (IRE) colt Harper's Choice gave his rivals a galloping lesson in the
opening race at Canterbury on Wednesday providing a timely pedigree update for
his half-sister headed to the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale next month.
A homebred for Bennelong Bloodstock trained by Gerald Ryan, Harper's Choice has
made good improvement this preparation and relished his first try at 1900
metres.
He powered way to win by four and a half lengths as a short priced favourite and
seems to be finding his forte over the longer trips.
With two wins and four placings from seven starts, Harper's Choice is on an
upswing and is the third winner for Argentinean Group I winner Oxigenada (Arg).
Bennelong Bloodstock have entered the current yearling from Oxigenada, a filly
by red hot first season sire Zoustar , for the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale
where she is consigned by Vinery Stud as Lot 131.
