Stud's exciting young sire Instinction has a good filly to fly his flag with
Paradis Imperial making it five wins from as many starts when scoring an easy
victory in the open juvenile event at Eagle Farm on Saturday.
Prepared by Rockhampton based trainer Tony McMahon, Paradis Imperial had won
all four previous runs up north with such authority that connections decided to
try her against the better horses in town with happy results.
She led all the way from gate one for Nathan Day and powered away from the
colts to win by two and a half lengths in a dominant display.
A $9,000 Magic Millions March purchase from the Gainsborough Lodge draft,
Paradis Imperial is from the metropolitan winning Hennessy (USA) mare, Hennessy
Beau.
Hennessy Beau was covered by another young son of Exceed and Excel last spring
having been to Widden Stud's Outreach, a full brother to Golden Slipper winner
Overreach.
A handsome son of Exceed And Excel, Instinction was thrice a stakes winner in
his own right and his Group II winning dam, De Lago Mist is also the dam of Group
II winner Into the Mist.
Instinction stands for the value fee of $5,500 at Sun Stud, Queensland.
