Matthew
Dale produced an impressive Mossman winner on Friday in Mossman Gorge and
followed up quickly with another after Super Star Bob took out the $60,000
Highway event at Randwick on Saturday at his second start.
Retained to race by his breeders, Super Star Bob won at Canberra on debut on
January 6 and made a swift transition to metropolitan success to win this Class
Two event over 1200 metres by a length.
Super Star Bob is a half-brother to Group III winner Najoom and is the fourth
winner from four foals to race from very promising producer Charlety Star, a
half-sister by Arena to stakes-winners Upon this Rock, Bhutane Dane and Gaze
On.
This is the family of $7million earner Criterion and this season's exciting
Group III winner Comin' Through, so it's becoming one of the most progressive, commercial
families in the studbook.
Segenhoe Stud will offer the current yearling from Charlety Star, a colt by
Dream Ahead (USA) at the 2017 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale as Lot 397.
