The James Harron
Bloodstock team had to settle for second in the Group I MRC Blue Diamond Stakes
last Saturday with Redoute's Choice colt Pariah, but will be hoping to go one
better this weekend when Attention backs up in the Group I VRC Australian
Guineas.
After a superb run in the Group 1 MRC Futurity Stakes, when finishing fourth beaten
less than a length by some of the best WFA horses in Australia, dual Group
winning Stratum colt Attention (pictured Steve Hart ) will be partnered by leading Hong Kong-based
jockey Brett Prebble in the Australian Guineas (1600m) at Flemington this
Saturday.
Retained rider Blake Shinn will be riding in Sydney paving the way for Prebble's
engagement.
James Harron Bloodstock and Prebble have already tasted success under similar
circumstances, with Prebble coming over to partner Wandjina in the Australian Guineas
for Edmund and Belinda Bateman in 2015.
Prebble executed a superb front-running ride, using Wandjina's great strengths
to bring home the all-important Group I victory.
Wandjina was subsequently retired to Newgate Farm and produced his first foals
last year.
The James Harron Bloodstock team will be hoping lightning can strike twice!
