gavelhouse.com Team Expanding

Media Release - Thursday March 23
As the popularity of gavelhouse's fortnightly online auctions in New Zealand and Australia continues to grow another team member in Natasha Thomas has joined the fold.

"We are big believers in our parent company New Zealand Bloodstock's ethos of providing quality service with honesty and integrity and Natasha comes to us highly recommended and has hit the ground running in her first two weeks," commented Sales and Marketing Manager Haylie Martin.

"A trend emerged last year where we had bigger catalogues throughout the autumn, winter and early spring and then numbers tapered off over the summer months when focus turned more to the yearling sales, weaning and farms assessing which stock to keep as stores or sell."

"With Natasha's appointment and another to be announced next month, we're well poised to service our growing client base in New Zealand and of course Australia where we're gradually making inroads with the prices fetched for the quality stock we've sold there exceeding vendor's expectations to date."

Off the back of another successful month gavelhouse.com's New Zealand fortnightly auctions have seen 62 of 72 Lots sold for turnover of over $227,700 and Natasha is looking forward to contributing to the upward spiral the site is on.

With a Bachelor in Communication Studies majoring in Marketing and Management Communication, Natasha also has practical experience working for farms and racing stables in New Zealand and abroad. Keen to also continue with a hands-on role in the industry, Natasha is based in Cambridge and currently also rides out for the successful Stephen Marsh stable.

"Joining the team at gavelhouse.com is the perfect opportunity to combine my tertiary education and passion for the thoroughbred industry while learning from and working alongside some of the industry's most influential figures at a company that is highly reputable."

"Having seen first-hand the highs and lows of what a sales week can bring, I think gavelhouse.com offers everyone from large trainers and owners to smaller players a valuable platform to trade stock more frequently and relatively inexpensively."

Entries are now open for the next gavelhouse.com New Zealand auction and are due by 7pm (NZ) Monday 27 March. The catalogue will be launched at 5pm on Tuesday 28th of March and bidding will close from 7pm on Monday 3 April. Contact the gavelhouse.com NZ team via 09 296 4436 or
