Inspections Underway at Newmarket

For the final time ever, Newmarket is open for business for an Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale.

Inspections officially started at 9am this morning for the 480 Lots catalogued for the last Easter Yearling Sale (April 4-6) at the iconic Newmarket site before our move to Riverside Stables at Warwick Farm.

Among the catalogue are 180 siblings to Stakes winners (including 40 Group 1 winners) and 146 progeny from Stakes-winning mares (including 23 Group 1 winners).

Arrowfield Stud stallions Snitzel (44) and Redoute's Choice (36) are the leading sires represented and are well supported by world-renowned stallions including the likes of Frankel, Tapit, Sea The Stars, Shamardal, Fastnet Rock, Exceed And Excel, I Am Invincible and many others.

The majority of Easter yearling parades are now underway.

The first of a big fortnight of Inglis sales is the inaugural The Chairman's Sale Session I (Elite Racing Prospects), which kicks off at 6pm tomorrow, April 30.

Ten Lots will be offered – Land Of Plenty (30%), Chance To Dance, Fallacy, Marenostro (33%), No Doubt (50%), Moqueen (28.75%), Eden Roc, Man From Uncle (10%), Man From Uncle (15%) and Gunnison.

After the Easter Yearling Sale is The Chairman's Sale Session II (Elite Breeding Prospects) on Friday April 7 from 5pm.

A total of 92 Lots have been catalogued for the sale including Group 1 winners, broodmares in foal to the likes of Frankel, Snitzel and I Am Invincible, highly-credentialed weanlings, race fillies and stallion shares.

Then the last ever sale at Newmarket will take place, the revamped Australian Broodmare & Weanling Sale from April 10-12, where a catalogue of over 550 quality weanlings, race fillies and broodmares will be offered.
