English Sister an Inglis Easter Star for Newhaven

Tara Madgwick - Monday April 3
It took a herculean performance from freakish grey speedster Chautauqua to down star sprinting mare English in the Group I ATC TJ Smith Stakes on Saturday and while you can't buy a sibling to Chautauqua at Newmarket this week, you can certainly buy the half-sister to English.

Newhaven Park elected to retain the first two fillies from their Group II winning Anabaa (USA) mare Court and the third will be offered as Lot 87 (pictured below) at the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale on Tuesday afternoon.

The first filly, Puzzle, was a handy winner at two and has already produced a filly for Newhaven Park by Exceed and Excel last spring and the second is of course English.

Runner-up to Vancouver in the Group I ATC Golden Slipper, English has been top class from day one and has the overall record of five wins from 15 starts with prizemoney topping $2.5 million and a Group I victory in the ATC All Aged Stakes last year.

The yearling filly from Court that will be offered tomorrow is by champion sire Redoute's Choice and is a lovely strong athletic filly, just like English.

One of the fillies of the sale, by a world class sire, Lot 87 is a rare gem with global appeal.

Come and see her at Stable 1 Rows J & K.
