Per Incanto Strikes Three Again!

Making a habit of siring a treble of winners on a race-card, Per Incanto has accomplished the milestone for the fourth time in just over 12 months with the latest recorded at Saturday's Trentham meeting.

Front-running filly Yemanya ( Per Incanto -Romantic Liaisons by Danasinga) kicked things off, going too quickly for her R75 opponents over 1200m before the tall, long striding Canny Magic ( Per Incanto -Cadonna by Don Eduardo) finished strongly to take the maiden 1600m. Four-year-old gelding Vatican News ( Per Incanto -Criss Cross by Cape Cross) rounded out the treble, defeating the biggest field of the day in the R65 1000m.

Canny Magic is the 52^nd individual winner from the 87 runners to date from Per Incanto's first crop of 105 live foals, giving the young group winning sprinting son of Street Cry the very impressive winners to runners' ratio of 60%. Look to that ratio to get even higher as promising, lightly raced members of his first foal crop return to the races over the next few months.
