Snitzel
is closing on in his record of 30 two year-old winners which he set last year,
adding a 28th two year-old winner to his tally for this season with
this five length victor at Ballarat on Monday.
The Darren Weir trained Snitzepeg gave his rivals a galloping lesson when
dashing away to win the 1200 metre maiden as he pleased.
Fourth and second at his first two starts, Snitzepeg was sent out a firm favourite
and delivered the goods for punters with a dominant display.
A $260,000 Inglis Premier purchase from the Three Bridges draft for Darren
Weir/ John Foote Bloodstock, Snitzepeg is a half-brother to Group III winner Metallic
Crown and is the fifth winner from Pegasus Queen.
