Aquis
Farm's Domesday started the day with an impressive maiden winner at Sandown
after lightly raced three year-old Dalgety cruised home to win as he pleased.
A homebred for his trainer David Brideoake, Dalgety was luckless at his first
two starts, but showed his true colours with this dominant display.
Ridden patiently by Daniel Moor, Dalgety tracked the pace and chimed in with a
good run from the top of the straight, but exploded over the last hundred
metres to quickly open up three lengths on his rivals.
The turn of foot he showed over the concluding stages will have Dalgety winning
many more races as his career unfolds.
A half-brother to Group II placed Tunes, he is the fifth winner from
metropolitan winning Commands mare Tin Pan, who died earlier this year with
Dalgety her final foal.
Domesday stands at Aquis Farm this spring at a fee of $8,800.
