The Peter and Paul Snowden trained colt settled just off the pace for Glyn Scofield
after jumping from a wide gate and finished off his race hard to score a narrow
win over lightly raced So You Think filly Intrinsic."I think it was a 10 out of 10 ride from Glyn because he had an awkward gate and he found a lovely spot." said Peter Snowden.
"He was patient and the leaders went pretty quick and probably set it up for something to grab them late which is what happened today."
Snowden indicated that the colt (image Steve Hart) would now be spelled.
"He's a nice horse. He's been a great horse to have in the yard and an easy horse to train.
"We've found with the Foxwedges the more age they get under their belts they get better and stronger and this bloke's been the same.
"To win two out of four in his first prep he's done a very good job. As a three-year-old he'll probably come into his own and make a nice horse," he said.
Glyn Schofield was also of the opinion that the son of Foxwedge has a bright future.
"He's certainly got a bit to like about him. He's got speed, he's got a bit of guts and he's won a Saturday race now so onwards and upwards, he said.
A $150,000 Magic Millions purchase for the China Horse Club from the Edinglassie Stud draft, Silence runs for a syndicate that also includes Newgate Farm, Aquis Farm, Horse Ventures and WinStar Farm.
He heads to the spelling paddock with over $100,000 in prizemoney from his first four start campaign.

Newgate Farm sold a weanling filly by Wandjina from Hush Up at the 2017 Magic Millions National Sale for $95,000 and she is due to foal to Wandjina again this spring.
Standing at Newgate this spring at a fee of $22,000, Foxwedge maintains his lead at the top of the Australian Second Season Sires list with 44 winners of close to $3.2 milllion in prizemoney.
