Sebring’s Next Oaks Winner?

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday June 6
Outstanding sire Sebring is riding high as the sire of dual Oaks winner Egg Tart and the Magic Millions National Yearling Sale starting today features a filly by the Golden Slipper winner that is bred to win an Oaks of her own.

Holbrook Thoroughbreds will offer a draft of six yearlings with Lot 2229 an obvious highlight.

By Sebring, the filly is the second foal of metropolitan winning mare Onecatstoomany, whose dam is New Zealand Oaks place-getter Sursum Corda.

A full sister to New Zealand Derby winner St Reims and multiple Group I winner and Melbourne Cup place-getter Champagne, Sursum Corda is also a three-quarter sister-in-blood to the dam of this year's Group I ATC Australian Oaks winner Bonneval.

This is a family that consistently throws up top class fillies with Group I New Zealand Thoroughbred Breeders Stakes winner Charmont, another star to emerge this year.

Sebring has already shown an affinity to work with this family as stakes-placed Le Mans is from Amouage, who is a half-sister to the dam of this filly Onecatstoomany.

For buyers seeking a filly with classic potential this girl will tick a lot of boxes.

The draft also features yearlings by Not a Single Doubt, So You Think, Tavistock, Denman and Poet's Voice – click here to see them.
