Elite Thoroughbreds Have Reason to Celebrate

Tara Madgwick - Thursday June 3

West Australians are awake up to promising young sire I’m All the Talk, who had a stylish two year-old winner at Wyong on Thursday in Walkin’talkin’, who is prepared by his former trainer Gary Portelli.

A close fourth on debut at Scone last month, Walkin’talkin’ was a hot favourite for the 1000m maiden and raced clear for a dominant victory scoring by nearly two lengths in the same colours carried by his sire.

rsquo;talkin’ was a $45,000 Magic Millions Perth purchase from the Mungrup Stud draft for Elite Thoroughbreds, who paid $40,000 for his sire at the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale in 2012.

Walkin'talkin' as a yearling.

I’m All the Talk proved a fast and talented two year-old winning the Group III STC Skyline Stakes to earn a run in the Golden Slipper, the son of Stratum eventually retiring to stud in Western Australia where he still stands at Darling View Thoroughbreds at a fee of $6,600.

With his oldest progeny just three year-olds, I’m All the Talk has delivered some great results siring 21 winners from 39 runners highlighted by Group II winner Watch Me Dance, stakes-winner All Banter, Group II placed Em Tee Aye and eight more metropolitan winners.

He covered his biggest book so far of 92 mares last spring and will undoubtedly be popular again this year.

I'm All the Talk

Walkin’talkin’ is the fourth winner for stakes-winner Scuffs and his success today will have brought a lot of joy to the Elite Thoroughbreds team.
