James Harron Buys $975,000 Not A Single Doubt Colt

James Harron bought a colt from the final crop of Not A Single Doubt for $975,000 on the opening day of the Easter Yearling Sale.

Consigned by Amarina Farm, the flashy chestnut (lot 136) is a half-brother to two winners, including the Group II Eight Carat Classic and Group 1 NZ Oaks runner-up Contessa Vanessa.out of the Lonhro mare Di Lusso.

“He just took to his job, got into his work, and had a great action on him, which is very true of the good Not a Single Doubts,” Harron said.

“She (Di Lusso) has done a good job, and it was quite a big upgrade going to Not A Single Doubt.

“He is a beautiful physical, medium size, great girth, lovely quality and great temperament.

“It’s interesting that breed are medium in size but walk like big horses and cover a lot of ground. They are famous for their good attitude and he had all od f that so fingers crossed he can take that to the track.”
