Hardham Can Win Inglis Cup

Media Release - Thursday September 28

Hardham is out to prove he deserves his place in the Group 1 Caulfield Cup when he starts a dominant favourite in Sunday's $250,000 Inglis Cup (2000m) at Caulfield.

Hardham as a yearlingThe 4YO son of Redoute's Choice was an impressive last-start winner at Flemington a fortnight ago and trainer David Brideoake is confident Hardham can repeat the dose on Sunday.

"He's going unbelievably well, he's 17th in order of entry for the Caulfield Cup and that's where we'd like to end up with him but we won't be there just to make up the numbers. He basically needs to win on Sunday and win well to justify a start in the Caulfield Cup,'' Brideoake said.

"Inglis has provided an unbelievable opportunity this weekend to race for $250,000 and the race works perfectly in his preparation.''

Hardham is one of nine acceptors in Sunday's Inglis Cup which also features fellow last-start winners Pablo's Express, Wheal Leisure and Julio.
