The pre-eminent son of Redoute’s Choice remains at the top of his game, with 17 stakeswinners this season including his second Golden Slipper winner Shinzo, 10 yearlings sold for $1 million or more and the prospect of a fourth Champion 2YO Sire title.

Arrowfield’s Chairman John Messara says, “We have raised the fees of three stallions, with four horses at unchanged figures, after careful consideration of their current performance and commercial appeal, recognising the different stages they are at, and the economic environment.”

“I’m happy with where we’ve landed for all our stallions who offer a range of sire-lines, aptitudes and physiques to meet the requirements of Australia’s most discerning breeders. And for the first time, all Arrowfield stallions will stand on Live Foal terms.”

Dundeel rises from $66.000 to $82,500

Dundeel’s fee is set at $82,500 inc. GST in the wake of his sixth Group 1 winner, outstanding 2YO colt Militarize, among eight 2022/23 stakeswinners, and solid sale-ring results up to $800,000.

Maurice, sire of triple Classic winner Hitotsu & Group 1 sprinter Mazu, and Australia’s current leading Third Season Sire, is offered at $82,500 inc. GST for the second year.

Five-time Group 1 winner The Autumn Sun has made a good start to his stud career.

The Autumn Sun is off to a good start.
He has sired Group winner Autumn Ballet and Group 1-placed Tulsi from his first six runners and his 21 yearlings sold at Inglis Easter averaged $364,000 and included a pair of 7-figure fillies. The Autumn Sun’s fee remains at $66,000 inc. GST.

Buyers have given a clear thumbs-up to the first yearlings by Group 1-winning 2YO & 3YO Castelvecchio. He averaged $196,000 at Magic Millions and $200,000 at Inglis Easter, with a top price of $360,000 paid for the colt out of Statuette. Castelvecchio’s fee is unchanged at $27,500 inc. GST.

The first foals of Japan’s Champion 2YO Colt Admire Mars have impressed Australian breeders who have given him consistent support across his first two seasons. The story of Japanese breeding & racing success continues to grow all around the world and Admire Mars returns this Spring at $22,000 inc. GST.

Showtime rises from $11,000 to $16,500

Showtime joined Snitzel’s list of 10 stakes-siring sons when his first-crop 2YO daughter Show Royale won the Cinderella S. LR in March. He’s also the sire of Group-placed Tacito, winner of the Magic Millions SA 2YO Classic, and debut winner Torque Bossanova – all from his first 9 runners. Showtime will stand at a fee $16,500 inc. GST.

Shalaa has joined the roster of Woodside Park Stud in Victoria, and Pariah transfers to Oaklands Stud in Queensland.
