HK Up and Comer for Exosphere

Tara Madgwick - Sunday July 2

It was a good Saturday for Oaklands Stud’s Lonhro stallion Exosphere, who sired a new stakes-winner in Perth when Upper Limits won the Listed Aquanita Stakes and he also has a very promising horse in Hong Kong with Dream Winner going three for three at Sha Tin.

Trained by Frankie Lor, Dream Winner carried 60kg to a dominant win in the Class 3 sprint over 1000m and made it look easy.

A modest $26,000 Karaka Book 2 purchase from the Monovale Farm draft for Mr SB & Mrs JM Gudsell, Dream Winner won a barrier trial at the Gold Coast in November 2022 before being sold and exported to Hong Kong.

Dream Winner was foaled in New Zealand and is the first winner for Longbeach Lucy, a placed half-sister by Brilliance to triple Group I winning sprinter Start Wondering.

A proven sire of six stakes-winners, Exosphere stands at a fee of $6,600 this spring at Oaklands Stud.
