Blue Point Winning Run Not Done Yet

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday November 22

Darley shuttler Blue Point (IRE) added a 47th first crop winner to his tally in the UK overnight when Good Point broke the ice at Wolverhampton, but he still has work to do if he’s going to catch the European first crop record holder Mehmas, who sired 56 first crop winners in 2020.

The two year-old colt was having his eighth start of the year and had placed four times previously so was overdue for the win and took the 5f sprint by three-quarters of a length as favourite.

Blue Point has had six runners here this spring and is yet to get on the board, but gets an opportunity at Ballarat on Thursday with the Jason Warren trained filly Bluelander well fancied for the juvenile maiden.

Blue Point (IRE)

Blue Point is back in Australia for Darley this spring in Victoria and fully booked at a fee of $44,000.

Blue Point has 16 entries for Magic Millions and seven for Inglis Classic.
