One to Watch – Kembla

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday February 6
David Payne already has a Derby winner in his stable this season in Ace High and he might be thinking he has an Oaks filly after the winning return of this talented daughter of All Too Hard at Kembla on Tuesday.

All Too Soon as a yearlingLast seen winning an 1800 metre maiden at Randwick on Melbourne Cup Day with authority, All Too Soon was having her first run back from a summer break and charged home from back in the field to score a determined short half head win in the 1400 metre Class 1 event.

Retained to race by her breeder John Cordina after passing in at Inglis Easter, All Too Soon is a half-sister to stakes-winner Rock Hero and is from Mr Cordina’s former high class Group II winning Galileo (IRE) mare Gallant Tess.

Also trained by David Payne, Gallant Tess won over $800,000 in prizemoney and was Group I placed on five occasions.

The current yearling from Gallant Tess is a colt by Snitzel that will be offered at Inglis Easter by Kitchwin Hills as Lot 148.

All Too Hard is doing a sensational job this season with 31 winners on the board including Group II winner Villermont and stakes-winner All Too Huying, not to mention his Kiwi Group II winner Demonetization.

Now a successful sire in his own right, All Too Hard has stepped out of the shadow of being Black Caviar’s half –brother and has 17 entries for Inglis Classic this week.
