Express Moving Fast

Media Release - Monday May 14

The momentum is all one direction – upwards - for exciting young stallion ShamExpress (O'Reilly).

The Gr.1 winning Australian sprinter sired his second winner for the week on Saturday when London Express proved too strong for his opponents at New Plymouth in the NZB Insurance Pearl Series Maiden Stakes.

ShamexpressLondon Express provided ShamExpress with his third individual first-crop 2YO winner following on from Cyber Attack winning mid-week at Waipa.

Their success, and that of Xpressmymind at Riccarton in February, have propelled ShamExpress into the lead on the NZ first season sires table.

ShamExpress, whose first yearlings sold to $360,000, is also sire of the promising 2YO Qiji Express, an unlucky fourth the previous week in the Listed Waikato Equine Vet Centre Stakes at Te Rapa.

Recently Windsor Park Stud announced their stallion roster and service fees for 2018 with the fee for ShamExpress set at $12,500 + GST.
