Another Stakes-Winner for Time Thief

Now standing in South Africa, Redoute's Choice stallion Time Thief was a long way from successful at the time o f his departure in 2015, but he has since left Group I winner and Everest contender In Her Time as well as Temps Voleur, who won the $100,000 Listed Balaklava Cup on Wednesday.

Time ThiefA seven year-old gelding prepared by Chris Bieg, Temps Voleur is a consistent journeyman who scored his biggest when taking out the 1600 metre feature by half a neck.

He took his overall record to 12 wins and seven placings from 60 starts with prizemoney in excess of $430,000.

A $70,000 Magic Millions Adelaide purchase from the Eliza park draft, Temps Voleur is a half-brother to Group III placed Xaitea from good producer Babieta.

A stakes-winning son of Redoute's Choice, Time Thief was given his chance initially on the Darley roster standing at a fee of $13,750, but steadily slid from favour before being sold in 2015.

Temps Voleur is the sixth stakes-winner for Time Thief.
