A first-crop filly by European Champion 2YO Mastercraftsman (IRE), who has been shuttling to Windsor Park Stud in New Zealand, topped the opening session of the Goffs February Sale earlier this week when selling for €200,000.
A half-sister to last season's high class juvenile Lilbourne Lad, the filly is the fourth foal from the winning Green Desert mare Sogno Verde and was purchased by Timmy Hyde.
"She's just a lovely filly with a quality pedigree and the sire was a hell of a racehorse," he said.
A striking grey son of champion sire Danehill Dancer, Mastercraftsman (pictured) was a two time Group I winner as a juvenile and trained on at three to win a further two Group I events, the Irish 2,000 Guineas and Royal Ascot St James Palace Stakes.
"He's been getting some especially good looking stock and must have every chance of making it as a stallion. This filly will be reoffered later in the year," reported Hyde, who picked up the Gr.1 Irish Derby winner Frozen Fire for €250,000 at the same sale in 2006.
