Due Sasso Colt Tops MM Perth Final Session

Media Release - Sunday February 19
A lovely colt by former outstanding juvenile Due Sasso topped the fourth and final session of the Magic Millions Perth Yearling Sale on Saturday night.

The colt, from Ibu and catalogued as lot 513, was snapped up by Magic Millions double winning trainer Simon Miller for $25,000.

"He was a stand out tonight and he's a lovely individual," Miller reported.

"I've bought a few nice horses from this final yearling session in the past couple of years and I'm hoping this colt will continue the trend."

The value at tonight's session was second to none - with the yearling session grossing $342,750 on 75 lots sold at an average price of $4,570. The clearance rate was a healthy 82 per cent.

Following the yearling session, a small racehorse sale was held and all 29 lots offered were sold in a perfect clearing display.

The average price was almost $6,000 with $172,750 grossed.

The top price for the Racehorse Sale came for the Nadeem filly Ruby's Choice - purchased by leading young trainer Daniel Pearce for $26,000.

Pearce signed for four lots in the Racehorse Sale after earlier tonight picking up a pair of Hurricane Sky youngsters in the Yearling Sale.

The sale focus for Magic Millions now turns to Launceston for Tuesday's Tasmanian Yearling Sale.

Recent graduates of this sale include Melbourne group winners Lady Lynette and Triple Asset and recent Tassie Derby winner Methuselah.
