Choisir posted a new stakes-winner in New Zealand on Saturday when the Fairhill Farm foaled and raised two year-old Choice Bro defied Karaka Million winner Ockham's Razor to win the Group III Platinum Homes 2YO Classic at Pukekura.
The John Sargent trained colt was able to turn the tables on his rival having finished fourth to that colt in the Karaka Million last month.
Choice Bro took the 1200 metre dash by half a neck, his overall record now two wins and a second from four starts.
Choice Bro was a $50,000 purchase for his trainer from the draft of Ainsley Downs at the 2011 NZB Select Yearling Sale, having previously fetched $40,000 when offered by Fairhill Farm at the Inglis Australian Select Weanling Sale where he was snapped up by bloodstock agent Paul Willetts.
Fairhill Farm will offer a terrific draft at the 2012 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale.
Choice Bro is one of four winners, but the first stakes-winner for Palace Music (USA) mare Ladidi, a half-sister to stakes-winner Cult Figure, the dam of stakes-winner Cargo Cult.
He is the 35th stakes-winner for Choisir (pictured), who has a big draft of 22 youngsters for the 2012 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale in Melbourne.
