Fleet Street defeated Bernardini's son Genten by half a length and the way he was powering away at the finish under Yuichi Fukunaga suggests he will be winning more good races.
Bred by Darley Japan K.K., Fleet Street is the first foal out of the winning Singspiel mare Jenny Lind, a full-sister to Group winner Songlark and a daugher of the Champion juvenile Negligent, who was also third in the 1,000 Guineas as a three-year-old.
Jenny Lind also has a yearling colt by Darley Japan's Storming Home, is in foal to Commands and due to visit Admire Moon later this season.
A regular shuttler to Australia, Kentucky Derby winner Street Sense (pictured) has six yearlings catalogued for the Inglis Premier Sale that commences in Melbourne on February 27 and twelve catalogued for the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale that commences April 10.
