One to Watch - Gosford

Tara Madgwick - Thursday February 23
She already has some Black Type and will be chasing more following a stylish win at her first run back from a spell at Gosford on Thursday.

She is the David Vandyke trained three year-old Choisir filly Choice Words, who was sent out a short priced favourite for the 1000 metre maiden and delivered the goods to win by a length.

Stakes placed in the Listed ATC Reginald Allen Stakes at her second race start back in the spring, Choice Words is now a winner at start four and looks set for a fruitful campaign.

An $82,000 purchase for her trainer from the Bowness Stud draft at the 2010 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale during Session II, Choice Words (pictured as a yearling) is the first winner for Flying Spur mare Verbose, who comes from the family of US Group I winners Jolie's Halo and Southern Image.

Bowness Stud have a sizable draft for the 2012 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale, although the half-sister to Choice Words by Henny Hughes (USA) is unfortunately a withdrawal.
