Ballarat Winner a Premier Update

Tara Madgwick - Friday February 24
The Mark Kavanagh trained filly Here de Speaker broke her maiden at Ballarat on Friday providing a timely update for her yearling half-brother by Fastnet Rock that will be offered at the Inglis Premier Yearling Sale next week.

Having her third race start, Here de Speaker won the 1200 metre maiden by a neck, crossing quickly from a wide gate to find the fence and then kicking clear in the straight before holding off all challengers at the line.

A daughter of successful shuttle sire Dehere (USA), Here de Speaker was a $75,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Edinburgh Park draft for Australian Thoroughbred Bloodstock and is the third winner from good metropolitan winning Success Express (USA) mare Speaker.

The current yearling from Speaker, a colt (pictured) by Fastnet Rock, will be offered at Premier by Chatswood Stud as Lot 247.
