Slipper Hopeful and a Sale Ring Star for Purrealist

The Gai Waterhouse trained Pure Hustle is Golden Slipper bound after producing a super impressive trial at Randwick yesterday morning.

The son of MAKYBE's stallion Purrealist he was quick into stride and led the field easily extending his margin on straightening, he went to the line under the hold of Tommy Berry to win by 4.8 lengths in a sizzling 50.1 seconds; the fastest 2YO trial of the morning.

"He was extremely impressive this morning and I am really excited about the future of this horse," Waterhouse said.

Pure Hustle sold for $42,500 at last year's Magic Millions and Waterhouse is likely to head towards the $3.5m Golden Slipper (1200m) in April.

Pure Hustle is one of three metropolitan winners Purrealist has produced from just twelve starters. Others include Pure Whisper and Anjea. Purrealist currently sits in third position on the First Season Sires Table for winners.

MAKYBE are presenting three colts by Purrealist at this week's Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale (Lot 658, Lot 688 & Lot 719).

Lot 289, a Purrealist filly (pictured above) from Tendency presented by Grange Thoroughbreds was sold today for $150,000.

Many buyers have been inspecting the progeny and paying top dollar based on Purrealist's impressive results so far.
