A week after his daughter Sistercharlie claimed a second win in the Group 1 Beverley D Stakes at Arlington Park, former Vinery and Bowness Stud shuttler Myboycharlie (IRE) hit the board in Australia with Begood Toya Mother who earned a maiden stakes win in Saturday's Listed Regal Roller Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield.
The 5yo, Daniel Bowman-trained, gelding led at every call to make it six wins on the trot in defeating the Lonhro gelding Haunted by one and a half lengths with the Not A Single Doubt mare Fundamentalist a further two lengths back in third.
"It's more of a relief than anything," Bowman told AAP.
"You come out of the winter with all this hype and you've just got to try to keep a lid on it. You sort of know deep down that he goes really well but you've got to see them do it at that better level.
"He put them to the sword today and they couldn't keep up.
"It's a good race to win. Good horses win it. You've only got to look back at the honour roll.
"But we'll find out in five or six weeks time how good he really is."
Bowman said he will see how Begood Toya Mother pulls up before deciding whether he runs at Caulfield in two weeks or at The Valley a week later in preparation for the Rupert Clarke third-up on September 21.
Purchased by his trainer for $28,000 out of the Donnybrook Estates draft at the 2016 Magic Millions Adelaide Yearling Sale, Begood Toya Mother (pictured as a yearling ) advances his record to 7 wins and 1 second from 11 starts with earnings of $277,040.
He is the seventh foal and fifth winner out of the winning Kaapstad mare Lady Of Helena who is a half-sister to the Group 1 STC Canterbury Guineas and Group 1 Waikato Draught Sprint winner Western Red (Spectacular Love).
Lady of Helena was purchased for just $600 at the 2013 Inglis Australian Easter Broodmare Sale. She has an unraced 3yo gelding by Sidestep and a 2yo colt by Casino Prince, which was her last foal as she was retired in 2017.
Begood Toya Mother becomes the 19th stakes-winner for Myboycharlie (IRE) who shuttled for nine seasons, the final in 2017.
