Placed at his only four previous runs, Liberty's Choice stripped fit and ready
to go at his second run back from a spell and led throughout for Tim Clark before
coasting home to win the 1250 metre maiden by two lengths."His work was exemplary, his coat looked great and Tim rode him a treat," said Waterhouse, who will look to step Liberty's Choice up in class for a Black Type event in the near future.
A $300,000 Inglis Easter purchase for Gai Waterhouse/James Harron Bloodstock from the Arrowfield Stud draft, Liberty's Choice was bred by Fairway Thoroughbreds and is a full brother to stakes-winner Grand Jardin and stakes-placed Pontiana being the fourth winner from stakes-winning Royal Academy (USA) mare Liberty Rose.
Gai Waterhouse/James Harron Bloodstock also secured the current two year-old from Liberty Rose, paying $500,000 for her Fastnet Rock colt at Magic Millions earlier this year.
That colt is the last foal from Liberty Rose, who died last year.
