It's
been a long time coming, but Group I VRC Newmarket Handicap winner Wanted has
at last posted his first winner with Rough Justice saluting on debut at Terang on Sunday.
A homebred for Contract Racing, Rough Justice is prepared by Matt Ellerton and
Simon Zahra and looked a promising type when coasting home to win by more than
a length over 1000 metres.
A half-brother to Group III winner Big Chill and stakes-winner Utah Saints, Rough
Justice is the seventh winner from terrific producer Hard Rider, a
stakes-placed daughter of Maroof (USA).
Wanted has had just eight runners to date with place-getters Francesco and
Commissar, his best until the emergence of Rough Justice.
As a Group I winning son of Fastnet Rock, Eliza Park based Wanted has been very
popular with breeders and they will be pleased to see him with a winner on the board.
