Most recently in the news at the leading sire on averages at
the Easter Yearling sale, Dubai World Cup hero Street Cry (IRE) has the
fire-power for a red-letter day at Randwick on Saturday.
In the days feature the $4 million Longines Queen Elizabeth
Stakes (2000m), The Queen's Carlton House has genuine claims on the $2.4
million winners cheque while the Street Cry support crew includes, Gouldian (Fernhill
Hcp LR), Engagement (South Pacific Classic LR), Memorial (Royal Randwick Stakes
G3), Solicit (Queen Of The Turf Stakes G1) and Tupac Amaru (Sydney Cup G1).
If Her Majesty had sent the horse she bred, My Kingdom Of
Fife to the all-conquering Chris Waller, instead of selling it to Richard
Pegum, she could have made it two Queen Elizabeth Stakes in four years.
Off the scene through injury for over two and half years, My
Kingdom Of Fife lines up again in this year's renewal as an 70/1 shot. That's

debut in the Group III Doncaster Prelude back in April 2011.
While Carlton House carries the colours of The Queen, he was
bred by Darley and was a gift by Sheikh Mohammed.
The son of Street Cry has some decent form in Europe, winning
the Group II Dante Stakes at his third start before finishing third to Pour Moi
in the Group 1 Epsom Derby.
He added the Group III Brigadier Gerard Stakes at Sandown
and was then second behind Aussie champ So You Think in the Prince Of Wales's
Stakes at Ascot. Behind Carlton House
that day was French Derby hero Reliable Man winner of last year's Queen
Elizabeth Stakes.
A half-brother to Listed stakes-winner Friston Forest
(Barathea) Carlton House, is out of the Bustino mare Talented who was a useful
performer for Godolphin in the mid-nineties winning the Group II Sun Chariot
Stakes and placing in the Group II Ribblesdale Stakes and Group III Lancashire
Oaks.
Her granddam Triple First (High Top) won the Group II Nassau
Stakes, Group II Sun Chariot Stakes and Group III Musidora Stakes.
