Coolmore Announce Fees

Tara Madgwick - Friday April 25
Coolmore have released fees for their 2014 roster of stallions which includes the new additions English Derby winner Camelot (IRE) and Declaration Of War (USA), the first son of rising super sire War Front to stand in Australia.

Fastnet Rock"The quality of the roster speaks for itself," said Coolmore Australia's Tom Magnier.

"We have an enticing mix of proven sires and promising sire prospects that are priced to facilitate breeders at all levels. Our focus is on our clients' continued success both in the sales ring and on the racetrack and we look forward to meeting with them over the coming months to discuss the great opportunities that our stallions present."

Champion sire Fastnet Rock has had his fee listed as Private, which is a practice Coolmore have done previously in Ireland and the US with champion sires Galileo and Giant's Causeway, but suffice to say he will be the most expensive sire in the country this year.

Former champion So You Think has a slight reduction this year in his third season dropping from $66,000 to $55,000, while his sire High Chaparral has also been discounted from $77,000 to $60,500.

Coolmore Australia General Manager Michael Kirwan added, "The response to Camelot and Declaration Of War has been most encouraging. They are two particularly good looking horses and both have all the right ingredients for sire success. We have great faith in these horses and will be supporting both with quality mares from our own broodmare band."
