The Ratings 68 event for three year-old fillies over 1400 metres at Sandown on Wednesday was won by You’re Beautiful, a $475,000 purchase from the Kulani Park draft at the 2008 Magic Millions Yearling Sale for James Bester Bloodstock.

The Lee Freedman trained filly was on trial at the 1400 metres but showed real courage to hold off all challengers and win by a short head, her overall record now two wins and five placings from 11 starts.

Bred by John Muir of Milburn Creek Thoroughbreds, You’re Beautiful (pictured  as a yearling) is the first foal of stakes-placed Canny Lad mare Canny Princess and carries an unusual double cross of champion sire Danehill as her grand-dam Kailey Princess is by the legendary son of Danzig.

You’re Beautiful is one of 24 winners for Fastnet Rock this season, the Group One winning son of Danehill leading his second season peers for individual winners.

Kulani Park as agent for Milburn Creek will offer a three-quarter sister to You’re Beautiful by Exceed and Excel as Lot 111 at the 2010 Magic Millions.
