Vain, as does the great mare, which is probably part of the reason he topped Sunday's fifth
session of the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale.
The colt (pictured) from the Jetball mare Jezeera, presented by Eliza Park as lot 670, attracted plenty of bids from
around the complex before the hammer fell at $225,000.
Rick Hore-Lacy, who has trained star Magic Millions graduates including Dash
for Cash and Toorak Toff, was the successful buyer and the colt will head to
his Caulfield stable.
All up today almost $7 million was traded for 176 lots sold at a healthy
average price of almost $40,000. The clearance rate rose thoughout the day at
by the last lot had reached 78 per cent.
A large crowd was on hand for the session which saw yearlings sold to buyers
from most Australian states as well as overseas locations such as Macau,
Malaysia, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Korea, Ireland and Japan.
"It's been a solid day's selling," Magic Millions Managing Director
Vin Cox said.
"Like was the case with the first four sessions it is great to see the
clearance rate strong."
"The quality lots attracted strong interested with canny buyers chasing
their next racetrack star," Cox added.
The 2012 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale will conclude on Tuesday with
the sixth session of the sale to be followed by a popular racehorse sale.
