Vinery Stud heavyweight More Than Ready
(USA) showed global credentials with an impressive debut winner emerging in Japan
this week.
American bred filly, Undeterred, kicked off her career with a polished victory
in the big field of 16 pocketing over $75,000 for her efforts.
Undettered is a superbly bred 3YO out of the Grade 3 winning daughter of Deputy
Minister, Social Director, whose previous foals include Dream About (Woodbine
Mazarine Stakes - G2) and the stakes placed, Britannia Road.
Both of Undeterred's next two dams are stakeswinners.
More Than Ready (pictured) has sired winners in 35 countries and has quickly racked up 93
individual stakeswinners around the globe.
The Vinery Stud shuttle sire has earnings of over US$35 million in the United
States alone, helped along by the winners of both Breeders' Cup Juvenile
division winners in 2010 and last year's Breeders' Cup Sprint Turf winner and
Dubai contender, Regally Ready.
Regally Ready took his first tour of the vast Meydan Racecourse the first of
March following his arrival in Dubai on Feb. 27 for a two-race campaign.
The Breeder's Cup winner will tackle the $175,000 Meydan Sprint at about five
furlongs on turf this weekend leading into the $1 million Al Quoz Sprint (UAE-I)
on March 31.
Regally Ready will have to overcome another More Than Ready on World Cup night
with Australian-bred galloper Better Be The One (formerly Common Interest(AUS))
lining up against him and fellow Singapore rival Rocket Man in the Group 2 Al
Quoz Stakes (1000m) in Dubai on March 31.
Better Be The One is looking to improve on a near miss last year having been
narrowly beaten by a long neck in the 2011 edition of the feature by JJ The Jet
Plane and War Artist.
